At Kraus Law Group, we believe that providing high quality, innovative and efficient legal representation to children and adults injured by vaccines is a privilege. For almost 20 years, our firm, led by vaccine injury Attorneys, Ed Kraus, Amy Kraus, and Brynna Gang, have worked to secure compensation for our vaccine-injured clients. It's all we do.
Our Team: Dedicated, Knowledgeable and Compassionate
No matter what role each team member plays, the level of commitment and passion is unmatched. We love what we do and strive for our clients to feel heard throughout the complex process in the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program. We not only help obtain compensation for people who suffered injuries from vaccines, but also those who have had a health condition worsened by a vaccine. Our vaccine injury team includes:
- Ed Kraus - One of the most experienced vaccine injury attorneys in the country, Ed's passion for vaccine injury law led to the creation of Kraus Law Group. He is a board member of the Vaccine Injured Petitioner's Bar and a former member of the Advisory Committee on Childhood Vaccines (ACVV).
- Amy Kraus - With more than a decade of experience in civil and criminal law prior to joining Kraus Law Group, Amy brings her litigation and legal strategy skills as well as her commitment to provide compassionate and individualized attention to each client she serves. Amy is a partner at Kraus Law Group and works directly with clients from the initial phone call through to the winding down of representation at the end of a case.
- Brynna Gang – is a partner at Kraus Law Group. After practicing in health care litigation, Brynna was thrilled to join Kraus Law Group as she had a passion for vaccine injury law dating back to her student days. She combines her extensive litigation experience, knowledge of science and medicine, and advocacy skills to advocate for her clients beginning at case initiation and continuing through the hearing stage.
- Megan Vignocchi - Megan is a paralegal at the firm. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Lake Forest College, where she majored in Economics. After working as an inside sales consultant at a technology company in Illinois and taking time to raise her three children, Megan returned to school to further her skills.
What is the Vaccine Injury Law Project?
For over twenty years, Ed was a clinical law professor at Chicago-Kent College of Law. In that role, he ran a legal clinic and taught courses to law students. Early on in his teaching career, Ed learned about the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program from one of his students. His interest piqued, Ed began to learn more about the Program and began to represent clients injured by vaccines. While continuing his teaching duties, Ed founded the Vaccine Injury Law Project, through which he represented clients injured by vaccines while also teaching students about the process. As the practice grew, Attorney Amy Kraus, joined the practice and later on, Attorney Brynna Gang was also brought on board. As our firm grew, it became obvious that vaccine injury law was more than a "project" and Kraus Law Group was born. We are one of the few vaccine injury focused law firms. This is all we do.
Protecting the Rights of the Injured and Their Families
The VICP provides compensation to eligible individuals whose injuries from covered vaccines satisfy the criteria on the Vaccine Injury Table. Alternatively, you may be able to secure compensation through the VICP if you suffered a vaccine injury from a covered vaccine and the vaccine can be established as the "cause-in-fact" of your illness. Proving that a vaccine caused your injury can be a highly complex matter, so it is imperative that you hire an attorney with Vaccine Court expertise to navigate the process on your behalf.
There is no cost to you to file a claim for vaccine injury compensation. Our firm will advance all of the costs of litigation and our fees and costs will be paid at the conclusion of the case by the government. This means that any recovery will go 100% to you.
Although our firm is based in Chicago, Illinois, we serve clients from across the nation. It does not matter where you live in the U.S. for Kraus Law Group to help. All VICP claims are filed in Washington D.C. in the Court of Federal Claims. No matter where you reside in the United States, we can help you fight for the compensation you deserve.
