Amy Kraus
Partner
Amy began working on vaccine injury matters in 2008 as a staff attorney at the Health and Disability Law Clinic at Chicago-Kent College of Law, where she worked with her husband, Ed, who was a law professor and director of the Clinic. She was fascinated by the scientific and legal questions the cases posed and was integral to creating the Vaccine Injury Law Project at the clinic that concentrated exclusively on vaccine injury cases.
In 2022, Amy and Ed, along with then associate and now law partner, Brynna Gang, founded Kraus Law Group where they continue to focus their practice exclusively on representing clients in the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program.
Amy is involved in all aspects of vaccine injury litigation but appreciates most the opportunity to work closely with clients to provide each with a truly individualized approach to their case.
Prior to her work with the Vaccine injury Law Project and KLG, her legal career was focused on civil rights, public interest law, and criminal defense, including positions at the ACLU National Prison Project, Chicago Legal Aid to Incarcerated Mothers (CLAIM), and the Office of the Illinois State Appellate Defender
When she is not working, she loves to spend time with her two adult sons. She enjoys reading, cooking, travelling, and walking her beloved yellow lab, Scout.
